Litein Boys’ High School has been closed indefinitely after students went on a violent rampage Sunday night, setting parts of the institution on fire.

The chaos reportedly erupted after the school administration refused learners’ request to watch the highly anticipated English Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester City, a routine weekend entertainment activity at the school.

Sources say the denial sparked outrage among the students, which quickly escalated into a full-scale strike and violent destruction of school property. Authorities are yet to comment on the extent of the damage or the measures that will be taken against those involved.
