Kitui School has taken the spotlight as the best-performing school in the county, registering a remarkable mean score of 9.526. With 12 students scoring straight A’s and 51 achieving A-, the school has cemented its reputation as a leader in academic excellence. 98.51% of the students are eligible for university admission, making Kitui School the county’s crown jewel in the education sector.
The school’s +0.6288 improvement index from the 2023 results is a testament to its dedication to growth and academic innovation. Speaking during the celebration of the results, the school principal praised the students for their hard work, dedication, and focus. “This achievement is not just a reflection of our students’ intelligence but also their determination to excel. St. Anne’s Muthale Girls’ School also had a stellar performance, securing the second position with a mean score of 8.79. The school recorded 93.7% university transition, with 79 straight A’s marking another year of excellence. Known for its strong academic discipline, St. Anne’s continues to be a beacon of hope for girls in the region. The school’s head attributed the success to the relentless hard work of both students and staff.
Meanwhile, St. Charles Lwanga School proved its resilience, securing a mean score of 8.612 and an impressive 98.1% transition to university. With 43 A’s and 97 A- grades, the school maintains its reputation for producing some of the county’s top performers. It continues to be one of the most consistent performers in Kitui County.
Kisasi Secondary School, despite facing a slight decline in performance, recorded a mean score of 8.172 and managed to maintain a 95.45% university transition rate. Though its mean score dropped from 9.22 in 2023, the school continues to show resilience and commitment to excellence.
Finally, Katheka Boys Secondary School, which has been steadily improving, posted a mean score of 7.103, up from 6.71 in 2023. While its university transition rate stood at 65.03%, the school’s growth signals a promising future for its students.
