Members of the County Assembly (MCAs), led by the charismatic Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo Katisya, have concluded a high-powered six-day training workshop designed to catapult the Assembly into a future of exceptional service delivery and governance.

The intensive workshop, held at the prestigious Utalii College, saw an elite team of facilitators from the Kenya School of Government (Kabete Campus), CPF, and LapFund delve into the key aspects of effective leadership and governance. Participants were meticulously trained in areas crucial to the modern-day politician, including stress management, work-life balance, conflict management, effective communication, and, most notably, the art of governance in the 21st century.

In an impassioned address on the final day of the workshop, Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo Katisya declared that the workshop was a game-changer for the County Assembly, with far-reaching consequences for the future of Kitui County. He expressed unshakable confidence that the newly acquired skills would transform both the MCAs and Assembly staff into formidable champions of progress.

“This training has been a turning point for us. The tools we have acquired will propel the Assembly to new heights, ensuring that when we resume from recess, Kitui County will witness an unprecedented wave of efficient service delivery,” Speaker Kinengo boldly proclaimed.

The high-caliber training not only empowered participants with essential professional skills but also forged a new spirit of unity, teamwork, and collaboration among the Assembly’s leadership and staff. As a result, the Kitui County Assembly is poised to become an even more formidable force in the realm of governance, with a laser focus on achieving tangible results for the residents.

Sources close to the Assembly revealed that this development is a direct response to the growing demands for greater accountability, efficiency, and transparency from the local government. The workshop, hailed as a rare and timely opportunity for MCAs and staff to refine their craft, is already being described as a pivotal moment that could redefine Kitui County’s political landscape.

Kitui residents can only watch and wait as the Assembly embarks on what promises to be a bold new chapter in the county’s development trajectory. The workshop may just be the beginning of a series of reforms that will elevate the county’s governance to levels never seen before.
