    Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaurahas said that Kenya has lost Sh6 Billion due to Gen Z protests that have been ongoing.

    Mwaura says president Ruto has taken a number of steps in response to red flag regarding governance of our country which include rejection of the Finance Bill where Kenyans voices were heard, and the controversial bill was dropped reflecting the power of collective advocacy.

    According to Mwaura the abolition of the Offices of the First Lady and Spouse to the Deputy President and consequent withdrawal of the budgets to the offices and President’s direct to engage Kenyann youths on the platforms like the X-Space demonstrates a commitment to open dialogue and addressing concerns in real-time through an interaction channel of your choice.

    The government’s mouth piece further sais the total overhaul of the Cabinet signaled a fresh start, aimed to better governance and accountability as per your expectations. Mwaura also mentioned reforming of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) as another significant step by President toward ensuring fair and credible elections in the future.

    At the same time the government spokesman has called on all Kenyans to embrace patriotism and stay engaged, focused and committed to building a peaceful progressive Kenya by staying off protests.
