    Kenya has distanced itself from allegations of involvement in the abduction of Ugandan opposition leader Dr. Kizza Besigye.

    Besigye went missing during Martha Karua’s book launch in Nairobi, only to be found detained in a Ugandan military facility in Kampala.

    Narc Kenya’s party leader and former Kenya’s Minister of Justice Hon Martha Karua during his book launch “Against The Tide” which was attended by Dr Kizza Besingye where he said to have gone missing after the launch.

    Foreign Affairs PS Singoei Korir dismissed the claims, defending Kenya’s human rights record. Besigye’s wife, UNAIDS executive director Winnie Byanyima, confirmed his detention and demanded his release.
