Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka shut down Kongowea Market as thousands turned up to hear his message on the second day of his Coastal tour. The Wiper leader made strong declarations about the 2027 elections, vowing to bring political change.

Kalonzo’s tour started at Pwani University, where he criticized President William Ruto’s government for what he termed as an unrealistic university funding model that threatened government-sponsored students.

“So what do you do going forward? Make sure all of you are armed with your voters’ card and National IDs, for that’s the most important weapon to drive Kasongo home because the future belongs to you, and there’s no doubt about that. Asanteni sana wana Pwani University,” Kalonzo told students.
At Kongowea Market, the energy was at its peak as he addressed a charged crowd.

“Changamwe wamekubali ukombozi umefika. #KasongoMustGo!”
The statement set off a frenzy in the crowd, echoing his message across the market.

Meanwhile, Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti called on the Nyanza region to support Kalonzo’s 2027 presidential bid, highlighting the longstanding political ties between Nyanza and Lower Eastern.

“Tumewasaidia kwa muda mrefu. Sasa ni wakati wa ndugu zetu wa Nyanza kusimama na Kalonzo, kwa sababu huu ni mpango wa ukombozi wa taifa,” Wavinya said.
The tour continues to draw attention as Kalonzo sharpens his focus on coastal politics ahead of 2027.
