The Jubilee Party has unveiled Engineer Wilson Kigwa as its candidate for the forthcoming Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election, setting up a competitive political contest in Nyandarua County.
Adressing members of the Fourth Estate Tuesday at the party headquarters, the party announced that Kigwa emerged victorious after a rigorous internal nomination process that drew multiple aspirants from across the constituency.
Jubilee said the exercise was conducted in line with its constitution and overseen by the National Elections Board alongside other party organs, ensuring transparency and consensus among stakeholders.

“Following consultations guided by the Party Constitution, the National Elections Board, relevant party organs, and engagement with qualified aspirants, the party has settled on Eng. Wilson Kigwa as the Jubilee Party candidate in the Ol Kalou constituency by-election,” the statement read.
The party noted that the high number of applicants reflected sustained confidence among Ol Kalou residents in Jubilee’s agenda and leadership.
Kigwa will now face Democratic Congress Party (DCP) candidate Sammy Kamau Ngotho and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) contender, in a race that is already attracting political attention beyond the county.

Jubilee expressed confidence in its preparedness, stating that its leadership and grassroots structures have been activated ahead of the mini-poll. The party says it will roll out an aggressive campaign focused on development, unity, and accountable leadership.
At the same time, Jubilee underscored its commitment to preserving the legacy of the late area Member of Parliament, who was elected on its ticket, pledging to continue championing people-centered leadership.
The Ol Kalou by-election is expected to be a key political test, particularly in the Mt Kenya region, as parties seek to assert their influence ahead of the next general election cycle.
