Machakos residents have new reasons to celebrate as Governor Wavinya Ndeti delivers on her promise to expand healthcare services across the county. With the recent opening of a state-of-the-art maternity block at Masinga Level 4 Hospital and the inauguration of the Ulutya Dispensary in Masinga Central Ward, residents in both urban and rural areas are set to benefit from improved access to quality healthcare.

Governor Ndeti, who has consistently advocated for dignified maternal care, underscored her commitment to ensuring that “no mother should die while giving life.”

The new maternity block will be pivotal in providing safe delivery services for women in the area, easing the strain on existing facilities and helping to reduce maternal mortality rates.

In addition, the newly opened Ulutya Dispensary, strategically located along the busy Kanyoonyoo-Embu Road, will serve as a healthcare cornerstone for the surrounding community.

The dispensary is expected to bring essential services to an area that has often struggled with limited medical resources. Ndeti described it as “the cornerstone of community health care in a largely marginalized area,” highlighting her administration’s focus on timely and effective medical interventions.

These initiatives represent a major milestone in Governor Ndeti’s goal of creating a more inclusive and responsive healthcare system, offering Machakos residents increased access to vital services that meet their evolving health needs.
