Kitui County executive committee are headed to Mombasa County for a one week bonding retreat , Channel 15 News can report.
The retreat for Kitui County executive members will be led by Governor Julius Malombe and the Speaker of the County Assembly Hon. Kevin Katisya Kinengo and is expected to run from 11th-18th December.
A close source privy to the preparations of the retreat, told Channel 15 News that the one week long retreat is a bonding session aimed at taking stock of the work done by the two arms of the local government for the period of one year , since taking over power, and strategising on how to create lasting and improved relationships between the two .
Kitui End of Year County Executive Retreat, comes at a time that the two arms of the government have been embroiled in undending battles over passing of budget and senior house leadership positions which has threatened smooth service delivery to the people of Kitui County.
