Veteran Kamba gospel musician and Kenya Association of Music Producers (KAMP) Chairperson Faith Kithele has officially declared her bid for the Kitui County Woman Representative seat in the 2027 General Election under the Wiper Democratic Movement party.
Kithele’s declaration comes after she attended a service at her home church, PEFA Church Kiangini, where she was commissioned, prayed for and blessed by Pastor Florence Mate before embarking on her political journey.

In a statement shared after the service, Kithele expressed gratitude to her church family for their prayers and encouragement as she begins her campaign.
“Today, I attended a service at my home church, PEFA Church Kiangini, where I was commissioned, prayed for and blessed by Pastor Florence Mate as I embark on my journey to seek the position of Kitui County Woman Representative. I am deeply grateful for the love, encouragement and spiritual support from my church family. With faith in God, I move forward with humility and determination to serve the people of Kitui. To God be all the glory.”
Her campaign branding emphasizes three priority areas: women empowerment, youth opportunities and inclusive leadership. The campaign also carries the Kamba slogan, “Wasya witu, Taa witu,” underscoring her message of unity and service to the people of Kitui.

Faith Kithele, a respected figure in Kenya’s gospel music industry and the current Chairperson of the Kenya Association of Music Producers (KAMP), now joins the growing list of aspirants positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Her entry is expected to inject fresh competition into the race for the Kitui Woman Representative seat, with campaigns already beginning to gather momentum across the county.
