The mother of celebrated gospel artist Fortune Mwikali has refuted claims circulating online that her daughter was involved in her father’s death. She condemned the allegations as baseless and insensitive, noting they come at a time when the family is already grappling with a painful loss.
Speaking to the press at her home in Katia Village, Mwingi North Constituency, Mwikali’s mother expressed her dismay at the rumors suggesting her husband’s death was an act of sacrifice orchestrated by their daughter. She called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to look into the incident and bring those responsible to justice.
According to her, her husband, Julius Musyoka, suffered fatal injuries inflicted by a sharp object, possibly an axe, on Tuesday night. The severe head wounds indicated the likelihood of an attacker known to him.
She added that individuals spreading these unfounded allegations are acting out of malice, aiming to tarnish the reputation of her daughter, a renowned gospel artist in the Lower Eastern Region.
