The long-running and highly publicized online feud between Kamba gospel artist Fortune Mwikali Ngwangwa and popular social media commentator Dr Irene Mwende has finally come to an end following a successful mediation process led by US-based mediator Frank Neva.

For months, the two personalities had engaged in heated exchanges across social media platforms, with the dispute reportedly rooted in allegations surrounding Fortune Mwikali’s husband. Claims circulating online alleged that he reportedly left his former matrimonial wife, Triza Kibz, and reportedly abandoned his children without financial support—allegations that could not be independently verified but nonetheless fueled intense public debate, personal attacks, and counter-accusations, often peaking on Sundays.

A breakthrough was achieved after a marathon two-hour arbitration call, during which both Fortune Mwikali and Dr Irene Mwende were given uninterrupted time to present their grievances and respond to issues raised.

In a statement issued shortly after the mediation, Dr Irene Mwende announced that the feud had officially been laid to rest, acknowledging that the conflict had largely been driven by misinformation and interference from third parties. She confirmed that both sides had agreed to a permanent truce and assured the public that hostilities between her and Fortune Mwikali had come to an end. She credited Frank Neva for successfully steering the reconciliation process.

Frank Neva later confirmed the resolution in a detailed post, revealing that the mediation exposed individuals who had been posing as concerned friends while secretly fueling division. According to Neva, both parties had reportedly been fed false information regarding family matters, including claims about children’s welfare, schooling, rent payments, and personal intentions—misinformation allegedly designed to ensure the feud continued.

He stated that these inconsistencies were openly addressed during the mediation, allowing both parties to establish the truth and reach common ground. As part of the agreement, both Fortune Mwikali and Dr Irene Mwende committed to ending all hostilities, deleting past negative content, and maintaining mutual respect going forward.

Neva issued a strong warning to gossip peddlers and online instigators, cautioning that any attempts to revive the conflict would not be tolerated. He urged the public to stop probing, gossiping, or attempting to incite fresh controversy involving either party.
Declaring the matter conclusively closed, the mediator called on social media users to move on and focus on constructive dialogue and regional development rather than online drama.

With peace now restored, the once-bitter feud that dominated Kamba social media discourse has officially come to an end.
