NLP Party leader Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli continues to assert himself as a national political force, standing shoulder to shoulder with Kenya’s top leaders on critical matters of national and continental importance. This evening, Dr. Muli joined former Prime Minister Raila Odinga at a dinner hosted by Kenyan delegates in Addis Ababa, where they extended their best wishes ahead of tomorrow’s African Union Commission (AUC) elections.

Having landed earlier today in Ethiopia’s capital, Dr. Muli wasted no time immersing himself in the patriotic atmosphere. Together with Homabay MP Peter Kaluma and other Kenyan leaders, he was among those seen at the airport singing patriotic songs in support of Raila’s bid. Photos captured by Channel 15 News from the dinner event show a jubilant Dr. Muli gesturing in excitement with Raila, as Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o looked on.

Dr. Muli’s active presence in Addis Ababa sends a powerful message about his evolving political stature. For a leader whose national patriotism was once questioned—particularly during the prolonged IEBC stalemate that lasted over five months due to what he previously termed as “awkward opposition politics”—his unwavering support for Kenya’s bid at the AU is reshaping perceptions.

By standing in solidarity with Raila and other Kenyan leaders at a time of high stakes, Dr. Muli is proving that his vision transcends party lines. His presence among the nation’s decision-makers on a continental stage reinforces his growing influence and signals a more pragmatic, unifying approach to leadership.

As Raila faces a tough contest against Madagascar’s candidate, all eyes remain on Addis Ababa, where Kenya’s delegation continues to lobby for votes. Meanwhile, Dr. Augustus Muli’s national profile is only getting stronger, with his participation in key political moments painting him as a leader ready to shape Kenya’s future.
