Popular Kenyan comedian Zacharia Kariuki, widely known by his stage name Mr. KK Mwenyewe, has passed away while receiving treatment at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital.

Mr. KK rose to national fame for his humorous and sharp-witted video skits in which he imitated Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, popularly referred to as Riggy G. His uncanny ability to mimic the DP’s voice and mannerisms made him a viral sensation across social media platforms, earning him a devoted following and wide recognition.

According to reports, the content creator was admitted at the facility where he was undergoing treatment before he succumbed to undisclosed health complications.

The news of his death has sent shockwaves through the comedy and entertainment industry, with fans, fellow creatives, and political figures mourning the loss of a young talent who brought laughter to many through political satire and relatable humor.

Mr. KK’s rise to stardom reflected the new-age power of digital content, and his contribution to political commentary through comedy was both bold and refreshing.

    May he rest in peace.
