Tension gripped Kehancha Town in Migori County on Sunday after a dramatic moment when someone in the crowd hurled what looked like a shoe at President William Ruto. The incident happened shortly after the President launched a 298-unit affordable housing project in the area.

The flying object narrowly missed the Head of State, briefly catching him off guard. In a split second, his security detail leapt into action—shielding the President and scanning the crowd for the suspect.

Despite the commotion, Ruto maintained composure and proceeded with his speech, drawing cheers from sections of the crowd impressed by his calmness.

Investigations into the incident are reportedly underway.
