Businessman and politician Masaku wa Masaku, the entrepreneur behind the popular Captains Lounge in Sabaki, Machakos County, has passed away.

Details surrounding his death were still emerging at the time of publication, with family members and close associates yet to release an official statement regarding the cause and circumstances of his passing.

Masaku wa Masaku was widely known in business circles within Machakos County as the founder of Captains Lounge, a well-known establishment strategically located in the Sabaki area along the busy Nairobi–Mombasa Highway.

The lounge became a familiar stopover point for travelers and a social hub for residents in the fast-growing corridor linking Nairobi to the Coast.

Beyond his business ventures, Masaku had also ventured into politics, positioning himself as an influential grassroots mobilizer within local political networks.

His involvement in community affairs and political engagements earned him recognition among supporters and peers in the region.

News of his death has sparked reactions across social media, with friends, clients, and members of the Machakos political fraternity expressing shock and sending messages of condolence to his family.

More information is expected as the family and relevant authorities issue an official communication.
