National Liberal Party Leader Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli has won the nomination of the IEBC Selection Panel with 16 votes against Koki Muli Grignon who came second with 7 votes.
Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli will now join other 8 members of the pannel who will interview the commissioners to form the long awaited IEBC.
The voting exercise which was carried at The Kyakya Hotel in Machakos was carried out via a a secret ballot.
In a statement to the newsrooms this evening Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli thanked those who voted him in, promising to deliver.
“I am deeply honoured to have been elected to the position of the IEBC Selection Panel in the Political Parties Liaison Elections held today in Machakos. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my colleagues and supporters for placing your trust in me. Your support has been instrumental in this achievement, and I am committed to serving with integrity and dedication.” He said
Dr Muli also thanked Madam Koki for her spirited campaign and commitment to our democratic process for being a worth competitor.
