A woman who was to get married on Saturday in a church wedding in Kapsoiyo, Bomet County, but reportedly changed her mind and asked for more time to make her mind, has resurfaced after her story broke the internet.
In an exclusive interview with South Rift Tv, the ex-bride to be identified as Chepkoech Nelly aged 23 years old now says , the wedding was not cancelled as widely reported by a section of media but was postponed by the presiding Pastor at Kapsoiyo AGC , after some vital documents vital for wedding were unavailable.
“We were ready for the wedding but after going to the pastor , we were told there are documents that are not ready and we would be informed when they are ready” She said.
The Ex-bride to be also down played media reports that she had gone missing after the wedding was postponed, adding that she had all along been at her parents house since receiving the news of postponed of her wedding.
According to earlier media reports, the wedding planning committee steered by Kapsoiyo Africa Gospel Church (AGC) Pastor Clement Chalulot, on Friday received a cancelation letter from a Reverend who was to conduct the ceremony informing them that the ceremony would not continue as scheduled after a misunderstanding ensued between the two families, this is despite the family of the groom settlingthe dowry, three cows .
Pastor Chalulot , the presiding Pastor accused the X-bride to be of failing to provide important documents when asked to.
“Yesterday, as by the agreement, she refused to give us her documents like ID and other requirements. She was also not willing to cooperate with us, even though her man to be was assuring us that all was well,” said the Pastor
