In anticipation of Kithure Kindiki’s assumption of the Deputy Presidency, the government has officially gazetted an Assumption of Office Committee tasked with organizing his swearing-in ceremony. Mercy K. Wanjau, Secretary to the Cabinet, has been appointed as the chairperson, heading a diverse team of senior government officials from various departments.

The committee includes prominent figures such as Dorcas A. Oduor, the Attorney-General, and Winfridah Mokaya, the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, ensuring legal and judicial oversight. Other critical members include:
