Labour CS Dr. Alfred Mutua has launched a scathing critique against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of sidelining the Kamba community through divisive politics.
Adressing Kamba Profesional via a video shared on his socials, Mutua explained the reason behind his party Maendeleo Chap Chap through Kibwezi West Mp Mwengi Mutuse to back an impeachment motion against Gachagua, citing the Deputy President’s promotion of “shareholder politics.”
According to Mutua, former Deputy President’s approach pf politics deprived Ukambani development projects, tying them unfairly to voting patterns.
Mutua also lauded the political legacy of opposition leader Raila Odinga, acknowledging his role in championing democracy and justice in Kenya and especiallyfor his people.
He called for unity within the Kamba region and encouraged engagement with the national government to ensure equitable resource distribution.
“We must respect the contribution of leaders like Raila while advocating for a government that serves all Kenyans,” Mutua remarked.

This bold stance aligns with the impeachment motion initiated by Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse, highlighting national concerns over governance and inclusivity.
Mutua’s comments are seen as a strategic attempt to rally Ukambani for greater representation in the national arena while pushing for accountability from top government officials.
