Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has firmly asserted that he is not stepping down from his position, dismissing any speculation about his political future within President William Ruto’s government. Speaking with unwavering confidence, Gachagua emphasized his critical role in ensuring that the Kenya Kwanza government came into power during the 2022 elections.
“I am going nowhere,” Gachagua declared. “I am the one who ensured that Ruto’s government is in power, and I will continue to stand by the President to deliver on our promises to Kenyans.”
His remarks come amid increasing rumors of internal wrangles within the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, with some suggesting there may be a push for a leadership shake-up.
