Former Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has reportedly been admitted to a Nairobi hospital following an alleged food poisoning incident, according to content creator and TikToker DJ Obidan Dela.
In a video shared on Facebook, Dela claimed that Mosiria was receiving treatment in the High Dependency Unit (HDU), where doctors were working to stabilise his condition following the incident.
“He is admitted at HDU and doctors are working to stabilize him after the Thanksgiving event held today,” Dela said in the video.

The content creator did not disclose the name of the hospital where Mosiria was reportedly admitted but promised to update his followers on the facility as more information became available.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged food poisoning remain unclear, and there has been no independent confirmation establishing what caused Mosiria’s reported condition.
Neither the specific food allegedly involved nor the circumstances under which the incident occurred had been established from the information available at the time of publication.

The reported hospitalisation comes barely days after Mosiria was removed from his position as Chief Officer for Public Participation, Citizen Engagement and Customer Service in the Nairobi City County Government.
His dismissal, announced on October 21, 2026, followed a reshuffle by Governor Johnson Sakaja that saw Zipporah Njeri Mwangi designated to take over the docket in an acting capacity.
Mosiria had also declared his intention to contest the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the 2027 General Election, bringing his political ambitions into sharper public focus.
As details of his reported hospitalisation emerge, confirmation from Mosiria, his family or his medical team would be important in establishing his condition and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
