Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba on Monday, October 26, 2026, oversaw the opening of a Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) examination container and the distribution of Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) materials in Makindu, Makueni County.

Ogamba witnessed the exercise at the Makindu Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner’s Office before visiting Kiambani Comprehensive School to monitor the administration of the assessments.
The Education CS said multi-agency teams drawn from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Interior and National Administration were coordinating efforts to ensure the secure, smooth and orderly handling and distribution of assessment materials.

The exercise is part of the government’s efforts to safeguard the integrity of the national assessments and ensure materials reach designated examination centres securely.

The 2026 KPSEA and KJSEA assessments began on Monday, with education officials and national administration officers overseeing the process.
