There was joy, celebration, and thanksgiving on Saturday as Mercy Kaki Titus, daughter of Kitui South Member of Parliament Hon. Rachel Nyamai, exchanged vows with her longtime partner Shammah Wema in a beautiful wedding ceremony held at Parklands Baptist Church in Nairobi.
The colourful event brought together family members, friends, political leaders, church leaders, and invited guests who gathered to witness the couple begin a new chapter of their lives in holy matrimony.

The ceremony was marked by prayers, worship, and messages of encouragement to the newlyweds as they pledged their commitment before God, family, and friends. Guests described the occasion as a joyful celebration of love, faith, and family values.
Among those in attendance Kitui Woman Representative Dr Irene Kasaku and well-wishers who joined the families in celebrating the union and extending their best wishes to the couple.
Speaking during the occasion, guests congratulated Shammah and Mercy on their marriage and wished them a lifetime filled with love, happiness, and God’s blessings.

The wedding reflected the Christian values upheld by both families, with scripture playing a central role in the ceremony. One of the biblical messages highlighted during the celebration was from Mark 10:9, which states: “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
The newly married couple received blessings from family members and church leaders as they embarked on their journey together as husband and wife.

The wedding comes as a moment of joy for the family of Hon. Rachel Nyamai, who has served as the Member of Parliament for Kitui South and remains a prominent figure in Kenya’s political landscape.
Friends and well-wishers continue to send congratulatory messages to the couple, wishing them a successful and blessed marriage.
