Ugandan music icon has agreed to officially part ways with his estranged wife, , following months of court-sanctioned mediation aimed at resolving their long-running marital dispute.
The celebrity couple, who have lived separately for nearly five years after Atim relocated to the United States with their children, reached the agreement under the supervision of Justice Jane Okuo Kajuga at the Anti-Corruption Court. The settlement is now awaiting formal court approval before it becomes legally binding.
According to details emerging from the mediation process, Atim will retain custody of the couple’s five children — Abba, Alpha, Amma, Alba, and Xara — while Chameleone will be granted visitation rights.
The “Valu Valu” hitmaker also agreed to pay monthly child support amounting to $2,000 (approximately KSh 258,820), marking a significant step toward resolving one of East Africa’s most talked-about celebrity separations.
However, the mediation failed to settle the division of property acquired during their marriage. That matter will now be determined separately by the Family Division of the High Court, which is expected to decide ownership of the couple’s assets and investments.
