President William Ruto has met leaders from Machakos County at State House Nairobi, promising to tackle long-standing development challenges that have left the Lower Eastern region lagging behind.

The President said his government is working with local leaders to unlock the region’s economic potential through investments in infrastructure, water, agriculture, and enterprise.

“By aligning leadership and resources, we will drive inclusive growth, create jobs, and deliver lasting transformation for our people,” he stated.
The Machakos delegation was led by Mwala MP Vincent Kawaya and included Machakos Town MP Caleb Mule, Kangundo MP Fabian Muli, Masinga MP Joshua Mwalyo, and former State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita.

President Ruto’s engagement underscores the government’s commitment to regional development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth, particularly in counties that have historically faced development delays.
