Kitui Town came to a standstill on Friday night as hundreds of revelers poured into Woods Africa Lounge & Restaurant for a spectacular Grand Opening Party, marking the launch of one of the largest and most ambitious hospitality investments in the region.

Situated along the Kibwezi–Garissa Road, the establishment impressed guests with its sheer scale and premium setup. Woods Africa boasts a VIP-end restaurant offering an exclusive dining experience and a massive open bar with the capacity to host at least 1,500 people at a go, setting a new benchmark for nightlife and entertainment in Lower Eastern Kenya.

The free-entry event attracted a huge crowd, with thrilling performances by Marc Chicago Band, Bahati, Diana B, and Kativui Mweene electrifying the audience. The night was further powered by high-energy mixes from DJ Wardah, DJ Mostwanted, and MC Hypegad, keeping the party alive well into the night.

Speaking to Channel 15 News, NLP Party leader Dr. Augustus Muli, the proprietor of Woods Africa Lounge & Restaurant, said the investment was designed to go beyond entertainment and deliver tangible economic benefits.
“Woods Africa is about opportunity. We have already employed over 200 personnel, directly and indirectly, and we are committed to supporting livelihoods through hospitality, entertainment and related supply chains,” Dr. Muli said.

He noted that the establishment is expected to stimulate local businesses, support creative talent and position Kitui Town as a regional hospitality hub.

As the curtains came down, the massive turnout and smooth organization underscored the scale of the project and the confidence it has inspired. Woods Africa Lounge & Restaurant now opens a new chapter in Kitui’s social and economic landscape, redefining nightlife while advancing job creation in the county.
