A second-year student at Kitui Teachers College, Grace Mumbanu Mutua from Kyuso Ward, Kakunike Village, is on the brink of dropping out of school due to lack of fees, threatening to shut down her dream of becoming a teacher.
Grace’s parents, who come from a needy background, have only managed to raise Ksh 10,000 out of the required Ksh 48,000 for her first-term fees. This has already forced her out of class while her peers continue with their studies.

Speaking to Channel 15 News, Grace’s mother, Kasyoka Kiteme, made a heartfelt appeal to well-wishers to step in and save her daughter’s future. “It is an urgent need because my daughter is currently at home while others are learning” she pleaded.
