A light chopper has crashed into a residential building near Mwihoko Secondary School in Kiambu County.

The Thursday afternoon crash has triggered a swift emergency response, with both military personnel and civilian rescuers on the ground. Rescue efforts are currently ongoing as authorities work to secure the scene and assess the situation.

Eyewitnesses report a loud explosion followed by thick smoke billowing from the crash site. The extent of injuries or fatalities remains unclear at this time, and officials have yet to release a formal statement.

The area has been cordoned off as investigations begin into what may have caused the crash.
