Kitui West youth politician, philanthropist, and founder of the Dr. Vincent Munyoki Foundation, Dr. Vincent Munyoki, has continued his unwavering commitment to community development, this time focusing on boda boda riders’ safety and economic empowerment. Speaking during the Kitui West Sub-county Boda Boda Riders Safety Sensitization event, Dr. Munyoki called on riders to embrace discipline and financial prudence for a better future.

The event, graced by Kitui West Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Madam Atemi, saw boda boda operators receive crucial training on road safety and responsible riding. Addressing the attendees, Madam Atemi reminded them that the boda boda sector is a respected industry, urging riders to uphold discipline and integrity.

“The boda boda sector is a backbone of our transport economy. It is a respected industry, and I urge all riders to respect themselves too by maintaining discipline on the roads,” DCC Atemi stated.

Dr. Munyoki emphasized the importance of financial planning and investment, encouraging riders to set aside part of their daily earnings to secure their future. “Investing from the little we have is crucial in fighting poverty. Our future is bright, but only if we make sound financial decisions. Let’s also ensure we all have a working health insurance plan for our own good,” he advised.

Also present at the event was Kabati Parish Priest and Father in Charge, Rev. Fr. Julius Muthamba, who commended the initiative, terming it a step in the right direction toward uplifting the community. He also urged boda boda riders to uphold moral values and be role models in society.

In a show of goodwill, Dr. Munyoki’s secretariat served breakfast to the boda boda riders before the start of the session, ensuring they were well-nourished and energized for the day’s activities.

Dr. Vincent Munyoki, through his foundation, continues to touch lives across Kitui West, empowering the youth and advocating for community-driven solutions. His engagement with boda boda riders is seen as a strategic move to not only enhance road safety but also boost economic growth among the youth in the constituency.

With such initiatives, Dr. Munyoki cements his place as a people-centered leader, keen on uplifting Kitui West through structured community engagement and development programs. His message remains clear: discipline, financial responsibility, and unity will pave the way for a prosperous future for all.
