A 29-year-old man tragically lost his life shortly after alighting from a matatu while en route to a hospital to seek medical attention for an undisclosed illness. The incident occurred in Makindu Town , located in Makueni County.
According to eyewitnesses, the man, whose identity remains unknown, appeared to be in distress as he disembarked from the public transport vehicle from Ikutha , Kitui South Sub-County , Kitui County.
Moments later, he collapsed and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Makindu Location Chief, Jackson Kimende, confirmed the incident, stating that authorities were promptly notified. Police officers were dispatched to the scene to collect the body, which has since been transferred to Makindu Level 4 Hospital.
The body is currently being held at the hospital mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.The sudden death has left the local community in shock, as many residents are left wondering what could have caused the young man’s untimely demise.
