The Late Gatwiri died of Positional Asphyxia With Brain Oedema, a postmortem conducted at Kenyatta University Funeral Home has revealed.
Taking to Social Media to share an update, the family of the deceased said a “Full Toxicology” will be done to rule out possible poisoning And or Intoxication incident.
Gatwiri, a celebrated content creator and actress known for comic shot skits in Kimeru accent passed away on Friday 30th October.
Wiper party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka who once had an engagement with the deceased Content creator mourned the content creator in a statement saying death had robbed Kenya a big star who was on her way to realizing her full potential.
Gatwiri had uploaded a short video on her instagram page on Wednesday, October 29, 2024 and her death came as a shock to many.
Gatwiri a trained teacher dropped her career years just after clearing university. In a previous interview, she disclosed that she chose not to pursue education as a career, saying she had lost passion for the field.
Positional asphyxia occurs when someone is placed in a position that makes it difficult to breathe, either by obstructing the airway or preventing the chest and diaphragm from expanding normally. This can lead to unconsciousness, suffocation, and in some cases, death.
While Brain edema is the swelling of the brain that can occur as a result of positional asphyxia. Positional asphyxia can be caused by a number of factors, including intoxication, neurological diseases, physical impairment, or physical restraints.
