The biggest Kamba Festival scheduled for late August in Kitui County, at Woods Grounds is expected to be a thriller of combo of cultural songs and modern Kamba redeveloped arts, Channel can report.

National Anzauni Patron Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli says the event will be one of a kind , full of cultural exchange and thriling performances from several Kamba acts including those from schools and colleges.

In an exclusive interview with Channel 15 News, Dr Muli said Schools that will perform during the first two days of the festival before climaxing on the final day , have started registering with several of them being top participants in just concluded Eastern region Kenya Music Festival competition .
“Yes, it’s true Wathi Wa Mukamba Festival will be big and this time round, we are giving winners in just concluded music festival an opportunity to showcase our rich culture and what they are made up of” He said

According to the National Anzauni chairman, schools will be allowed to perform atleast Kamba folksong and folk songs with pure originality from the native Kamba culture.

The climax of Wathi Wa Mukamba will on the 31st of August with several Kamba artist taking to the stage to perform to the crowds.
