The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese of Machakos witnessed a historic and spirit-filled moment on Sunday during the Consecration and Enthronement Service of Ven. Canon Patrick Kyalo Munuve as the 4th Bishop of the Diocese.

The colourful ceremony, held at ACK Machakos, was marked with prayer, worship, and traditional Anglican rites as Ven. Canon Munuve officially took over leadership of the diocese, now bearing the title The Right Reverend Patrick Kyalo Munuve.

The service drew a large congregation from across the region, with notable dignitaries in attendance, including Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, both of whom lauded Bishop Munuve’s commitment to service and faith.

In his address, Kalonzo Musyoka described the new bishop as a humble servant leader whose spiritual journey and dedication to the church make him well-suited to shepherd the faithful in the Machakos Diocese. Governor Wavinya Ndeti echoed the sentiments, calling on the church to remain a beacon of hope and unity amid growing social and economic challenges.

Bishop Munuve now becomes the 4th bishop to lead the ACK Machakos Diocese, succeeding a lineage of faithful shepherds who have shaped the spiritual growth and outreach of the church in the region.
The event was marked by pomp, joy, and a strong show of unity between the church and the community, with choirs, clergy, and congregants celebrating the milestone.

As he assumes his new role, Bishop Munuve has pledged to focus on nurturing spiritual growth, promoting social justice, and deepening the church’s role in transforming lives across the region.
