Two children aged one year and nine months have been burned to death following a fire outbreak that razed their family house in Mui, Mwingi Central Sub-County, Kitui Central.

According to the mother of the twins, she had gone to a nearby shopping center in the morning to get food for the brothers ,only to come back home to find her house on fire and the twins burned beyond recognition.

Speaking to a local Television, the teary mother of the deceased, said there was no way they could have set the house on fire , adding that she was used to leaving them behind and called on detectives to dig into the matter and grant the family justice.

The mother added that the side of her family house that serves as kitchen and where a gas cylinder is housed, didn’t burn but only the side of her bedroom where the minors were sleeping that got razed down, detecting a foul play.

Local administrator Benard Musili said detectives have picked the matter while the remains of the twins have been moved to Mwingi Level 4 Hosipital.
