A dramatic raid in Mwabungo Village, Diani, has led to the arrest of three individuals accused of cultivating marijuana in a residential compound.
Acting on credible intelligence, a multi-agency team led by the Diani OCS stormed a residence in the Romika area, uncovering a fully operational cannabis grow house.

The suspects — Wegener Geb Sikora, 66, and Heck Klaus Edmund, 69, both German nationals on tourist visas, alongside Kenyan citizen Anastasia Wangare, 27 — were apprehended at the scene.

Authorities confirmed the trio has been handed over to Coast Region Anti-Narcotics detectives as investigations intensify. Crime scene experts have since documented the plantation, which had been carefully concealed and equipped to sustain large-scale production.

Police say the arrests mark a significant breakthrough in ongoing efforts to crack down on the cultivation and distribution of illegal drugs along the Kenyan coast.
