News of the sudden death of prominent Kamba Fm Presenter Mercy Mawia have been received with huge shock countrywide and internationally.
Throughout her one decade plus broadcast career , Mercy Mawia had made friends left , right and center. Both locals and celebrities, but from the outpouring condolences messages, it’s no lie, Mercy was merciful with her love towards making friendship irregardless of the class of the people she interacted with.
The Kauma born princesses had a way into her people’s heart and after serving her people for over one decade, she chose to celebrate her ten years of broadcast with launch of Mercy Mawia Foundation which was accepted by many celebrities and local s during the launch last year at Kitui Muslim Secondary School Grounds, and would later climax with a live performance of top Kamba Benga artist at Lamour Lounge, later in the night.
Indeed Mercy Mawia breathed her last breath with love, and passion for the people he met everyday. And it’s for this reason that two days ago she regretfully felt indebted after missing out on Fortune Mwikali Joel’s wedding that was held on Saturday. This is after she checked in at Nairobi Hospital for a scheduled minor surgery but never came came back alive.
In her second to last post , Mercy regretted that despite having a wonderful dress ready for Fortune’s Wedding she couldn’t dance to the beat tunes of the wedding that day and so God allowed her to dance with angels instead , and so we celebrate with her today as she dances with angels. May the dress , you wished to wear on your last dance, keep you beautiful on earth and here on heaven.
