The County Assembly of Kitui has announced the commencement of public participation sessions to gather input on the Kitui County Finance Bill, 2024.
The sessions are scheduled to begin today Monday, November 4, 2024, and aim to engage residents in the legislative process, allowing them to voice their opinions and concerns regarding the proposed financial measures.

The public participation process will kick off on Monday in two locations: in Kitui Central Constituency at Kyambiti and in Kitui West Constituency at Matinyani Multi-Purpose Hall. Residents are encouraged to attend these sessions to express their views on the bill, which outlines crucial fiscal policies and budgetary allocations for the upcoming financial year.

County Assembly Speaker, Hon. Kelvin Kinengo Katisya emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating, “Public participation is a cornerstone of democracy.
