Dr. Augustus Muli, leader of the National Liberal Party (NLP), has delivered a powerful New Year’s message to the people of Ukambani, calling for unity, accountable leadership, and inclusive development as the region steps into 2026.

Speaking to Channel 15 News, Dr. Muli praised the resilience, enterprise, and strong community spirit of Ukambani residents, emphasizing that the region’s strength lies in its people.

“Ukambani has always stood tall because of its hardworking citizens, their rich cultural heritage, and their unwavering sense of community,” Dr. Muli said. “As we begin this new year, it is an opportunity to renew our shared purpose and ensure that leadership works for everyone — farmers, traders, youth, women, and the most vulnerable among us.”

The NLP leader outlined his vision for the year, focusing on sustainable development, social justice, and people-centered policies. He stressed that leadership should not only inspire but also deliver tangible results that transform lives across the region.

“Our goal is simple: to build a Ukambani where every family enjoys peace, every community sees progress, and every young person has hope for the future,” Dr. Muli added.

He also urged local leaders, stakeholders, and residents to come together, emphasizing that unity and collaboration are crucial for overcoming challenges and achieving long-term development goals.

“This year, we must strengthen our collective commitment to accountability and transparency. When leaders listen and respond to the needs of the people, we create a foundation for real progress,” Dr. Muli noted.

Highlighting key areas of focus, the NLP leader pledged to champion initiatives that empower youth with skills and opportunities, support women entrepreneurs, and improve livelihoods for farmers and traders. He underscored that inclusive development is essential for equitable growth in Ukambani.

Dr. Muli also reflected on the cultural and social strengths of the region, stating that Ukambani’s rich heritage and community values must be leveraged to drive sustainable growth. He encouraged residents to actively participate in shaping policies and local projects that directly affect their lives.

“As we look ahead, let us embrace a spirit of collaboration, compassion, and shared responsibility. Together, we can ensure that Ukambani remains a region of dignity, opportunity, and prosperity for all,” he concluded.

The NLP leader’s message comes at a time when Kenyans are stepping into 2026 with hopes for economic recovery, better governance, and stronger community ties. By emphasizing unity, accountability, and people-centered development, Dr. Muli is positioning his leadership as a guiding force for positive change in Ukambani.
Residents are responding positively to the message, with many echoing the call for inclusive policies that prioritize the welfare of ordinary citizens and strengthen community cohesion.

Dr. Muli’s New Year’s message serves as both a reflection on the achievements and challenges of the past year and a roadmap for a brighter, more prosperous 2026 in Ukambani.
