Brian Luseka Andole, a Nairobi resident, has pleaded guilty to filing a false police report regarding the alleged disappearance of his mistress, Mercylin Awour.

The prosecution told Milimani Law Courts Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi that on November 9, 2024, Brian reported to Kitusuru Police Post that Awour had gone missing. Acting on the false information, police officer PC Joseph Ledama opened an Occurrence Book entry and initiated an inquiry into the alleged disappearance.

Brian had reported that his mistress Awuor had gone missing in a kidnapping incident and he had been demanded ransom, which turned out to be false

Investigations later revealed that the disappearance was fabricated, with reports suggesting it was part of Awour’s attempt to escape the relationship. Brian admitted to the charges in court, and the case has been scheduled for a later date for facts presentation, conviction, and sentencing.

This incident highlights the misuse of police resources and the legal implications of filing false disappearance reports.
