Kitui County Assembly teams showcased impressive performances today, October 23, 2024, during the 5th edition of the County Assemblies Sports Association (CASA) games held in Bungoma County.

The event featured a wide range of disciplines including Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Draught, Darts, Pool Table, Scrabble, Tug of War, Choir, Volleyball, and Football.

Kitui’s Table Tennis team emerged as the standout performers, securing first place in their pool after defeating Nairobi, Migori, and West Pokot in all their matches. This remarkable achievement earned them a well-deserved spot in the quarterfinals.

The CASA games, which kicked off yesterday, were officially flagged off by Bungoma County Chief Hon. Kenneth Lusaka. In his speech, Lusaka emphasized the importance of the games in promoting unity and inclusivity across counties, encouraging participants to use the opportunity to strengthen inter-county relations.
