Gospel singer Stephen Kasolo and his estranged “Auntie” Stella Mengele appear to have buried the hatchet, signaling the end of months of public hostility and a protracted legal tussle.
Kasolo, who just days ago sparked uproar after threatening self-harm at his grandmother’s funeral in Kitui, surprised his fans by posting a heartfelt message on Facebook celebrating a reunion with Stella.
Sharing a photo of himself kneeling before her, the singer described Mengele as a true aunt and expressed gratitude for their reconciliation.

“Antie @Mengele jana tulipatana nikapiga magoti akacheka kweli huyu ni Antie wa kweli… Mama ni mama tu,” Kasolo wrote, hinting that he had learned lessons from the painful episode.
In a lighthearted response, Stella confirmed that relations had thawed, posting:

“Ambieni huyu I am Aunt wake na ninamuita saa kumi kamili!”
Her rejoinder was widely interpreted as a show of goodwill, cementing speculation that she is willing to withdraw her case against Kasolo. The matter is now shifting to the arbitration stage, where both parties are expected to seek an amicable settlement.

The turn of events marks a dramatic reversal from the recent war of words, when Stella accused Kasolo of contempt of court and emotional manipulation. Their public truce has been met with relief by fans and family members, many of whom had urged them to find peace.
