WIPER Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has launched a scathing attack on Livestock PS and former Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke, accusing him of associating with President William Ruto, whom he branded as the “reigning champion of corruption in the world.”

Speaking during the burial of his long-term friend Daniel Kimanzi Muanga at Kwa-Vonza, Lower Yatta in Kitui Rural Constituency, Kalonzo did not hold back, expressing his disappointment in Mueke, a fellow Kamba leader, for aligning himself with Ruto’s administration.

“Mhesimiwa Mueke, your boss William Ruto has been deemed the reigning champion of corruption in the world. This, my friend, affects all Kenyans,” Kalonzo declared, sending ripples through the mourners gathered.
The WIPER leader went further to say he was ashamed that Mueke, a respected figure from the Kamba community, was actively supporting an administration that, according to him, has set global records in graft.
Kalonzo’s remarks come amid growing discontent within the opposition regarding the Kenya Kwanza government’s handling of public resources, with allegations of mismanagement and questionable deals continuing to surface. His attack also signals the intensifying political battle for the Ukambani vote, with Kalonzo positioning himself as Ruto’s fiercest opponent ahead of the 2027 elections.

PS Mueke, who was in attendance, did not immediately respond to the WIPER leader’s criticism, but his close ties with Ruto’s government have drawn increasing backlash from sections of the Kamba community, many of whom feel sidelined in national leadership.

With political temperatures rising, Kalonzo’s latest remarks add fuel to the opposition’s broader campaign against Ruto’s administration, setting the stage for a heated showdown in the coming months.
