A middle-aged woman from Masinga Sub-County, Embu County, narrowly escaped an attempted kidnapping thanks to the swift action of bodaboda riders from Kivaa.

The incident occurred as the woman, accompanied by a male driver, was on her way to Mutwobare to show him a piece of land she intended to sell. However, the situation took a dramatic turn when the driver, believed to be a police officer, suddenly diverted the vehicle towards Kanyonyoo, apparently intending to abduct her.Realizing the danger, the woman began shouting for help, which quickly caught the attention of nearby bodaboda riders.

Acting decisively, the riders gave chase, eventually intercepting the vehicle and apprehending the driver. They then handed him over to the police.

The suspect is currently being held at Kaewa Police Station as investigations into the incident continue.
