Political temperatures continue to raise high in Lower Eastern region after National Liberal Party announced that it will be opening party office in Kitui County, the home county of Wiper Leader and former Vice President Dr Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, and who controls the game of cards in politics, in the region.
The National Liberal Party plans to open Kitui Branch office is aimed at popularizing the party ahead of 2027 elections.
The National Liberal Party Leader Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli says , the decision to open a branch and hold a national delegates conference in Kitui is one step of giving the residents and prospective elected leaders an opportunity to choose which party to ride on in 2027 election.
” We are in the process of revamping our party to make it attractive in the country and we can’t do this without giving my people an opportunity to try a party that is democratic, transparent and which cares for it’s people. They say charity begins at home, and this is basically what we are doing. ” Said Dr Augustus
The National Liberal Party is set to hold it’s national delegates conference at Woods on 27th June, at the same time opening an office in Kitui with full secretariat.
Over 1000 delegates are expected the event , during which several acts will perform including celebrated Kamba Gospel artist Stephen Kasolo and Yatta Boys Band leader Ken Wa Maria among other curtain raisers.
