A middle-aged man from Masii Location in Mwala Sub-County, Machakos County, is receiving treatment after reportedly severing his own manhood under unclear circumstances. The shocking incident has left residents and authorities puzzled, as the man has not provided a clear explanation for his actions.

According to the administration at Mwala Level 3 Hospital, the man arrived at the facility with his severed genitals packed in a nylon bag. Medical staff were astonished as he admitted to having cut off his own manhood but could not articulate the reason behind the drastic act.

Due to the severity of his injuries, the man was stabilized and later transferred to Machakos Level 5 Hospital, where he is currently recovering.

Nyumba Kumi elder Angeline Kilonzo from Mwala confirmed the bizarre incident during a phone interview with Channel 15 News. “Yes, I can confirm the incident, even though we are yet to understand the motive behind the act,” she said.

The incident has raised concerns about mental health and wellbeing within the local community, prompting calls for increased awareness and support services. Investigations are ongoing as authorities seek to determine the circumstances that led to this extreme action. Meanwhile, the man remains under close medical observation at Machakos Level 5 Hospital.
