Left for Dead: Kalonzo Musyoka Visits Abducted Juja MP Koimburi After Brutal Ordeal

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Tuesday led a high-powered opposition delegation to visit Juja MP George Koimburi, who is currently hospitalized following a harrowing abduction and torture incident that has sent shockwaves across the country.

Koimburi, who was reported missing on Sunday, was discovered dumped in a coffee plantation — severely tortured, barely conscious, and “left for dead,” according to sources close to his family. The opposition now claims his abduction is a glaring example of state-sponsored political repression meant to silence dissenting voices ahead of a turbulent political season.

Musyoka, accompanied by other United Opposition leaders including Martha Karua, Eugene Wamalwa, and Justin Muturi, condemned what they termed as “a government-sanctioned war on democracy.” Standing solemnly at the MP’s bedside, the former Vice President described the incident as “a chilling reminder of how low this regime is willing to sink to crush opposition.”

“What has happened to Hon. Koimburi is not just an attack on one MP — it’s an attack on all of us, on democracy, and on the Constitution itself,” Kalonzo said. “We are not dealing with a government anymore; we are staring at a criminal enterprise in power.”

The leaders, under the banner of the United Opposition Movement, accused the Kenya Kwanza administration of unleashing violence, fear and chaos in a bid to muzzle growing discontent. They warned of “massive national resistance” if the government continues to rule through fear and brutality.
