Police in Nairobi have launched investigations into a suspected femicide case after a 43-year-old salonist was found murdered inside her apartment along Lumumba Drive in Roysambu.

The deceased, identified as Faith Nyaga, worked at Freddyz Salon located at Platinum Plaza. Her lifeless body was discovered inside her house after her daughter grew concerned over her sudden silence.

Daughter’s Concern Leads to Gruesome Discovery

According to reports, Faith’s daughter tried reaching her by phone on Friday but received no response. When her calls again went unanswered on Saturday and the phone remained switched off, she decided to visit her mother’s residence.

Upon arrival, she made the heartbreaking discovery of her mother’s body lying inside the house. Preliminary reports indicate that Faith had been beaten and stabbed to death in what detectives are treating as a brutal killing.

Case Reported at Kasarani Police Station

The incident was reported to Kasarani Police Station, where officers documented the case before visiting the scene.

Police later moved the body to the mortuary pending a postmortem examination as investigations commenced.

    Husband Identified as Main Suspect

Authorities have since identified Faith’s husband, Daniel Macharia Mburu, as the prime suspect in the murder.

Police revealed that he is currently missing and is being sought to assist with investigations.

Detectives are appealing to members of the public with information regarding his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.

    Rising Concern Over Femicide Cases

The incident adds to the growing list of suspected femicide cases reported across Kenya, sparking renewed concern over the safety of women and the need for urgent interventions to address gender-based violence.

Police have assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that justice will be pursued.
