President William Ruto has urgently summoned select teachers’ representatives to State House, Nairobi, for a high-level meeting scheduled on Friday, September 12, 2025.
The delegation will consist of members of the Kenya Primary Schools Headteachers Association (KEPSHA) National Executive Board, the National Governing Council (NGC), and four representatives from each sub-county — namely the chairperson, secretary, treasurer, and gender representative. Members of the National Secretariat will also be part of the team.
In preparation, county chairpersons have been directed to submit the names and details of their delegates by today, September 8.
The agenda of the meeting has not been disclosed, but education stakeholders say the talks are expected to touch on key issues affecting primary schools, including funding, infrastructure, and teacher welfare.
