The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has intensified the manhunt for Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, the prime suspect in the shocking murders of several women whose mutilated bodies were discovered at the Kware dumpsite in Nairobi.
Khalusha, who was set to be arraigned for murder, dramatically escaped from police custody in August 2024, moments before facing charges in court. His escape sparked public outrage and has since turned into one of the country’s most high-profile manhunts.
In a statement, the National Police Service announced a Ksh 1 million cash reward for any credible information that could lead to the suspect’s re-arrest.
“Every piece of information is valuable. The public is urged to assist law enforcement in ensuring this dangerous individual is apprehended,” read part of the DCI appeal.
Members of the public with information on the fugitive’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact the DCI through the #FichuaKwaDCI hotline 0800 722 203, the WhatsApp number 0709 570 000, or the police hotlines 999, 911, and 112. Reports can also be made at any police station across the country.
Authorities say the cash reward will be issued to any individual who provides credible leads that result in Khalusha’s arrest.
The gruesome murders linked to Khalusha sent shockwaves across the nation, with human rights groups and residents demanding justice for the victims.
